Waiting For Pop Off

Going through the bin of winter stuff. This is what I call a rocking Monday night.

Rocking Monday Night

Oh big pink mittens how I’ve (not really) missed you. It won’t be much longer now until I’m wiping my runny winter running nose on you.

Big Pink Mittens

Geez I hope I washed those before I put them away for the season. They weren’t crunchy so I’ll take that as a good sign.

What else do we do around here for fun on Monday night? Why we wait for the corn to pop.

Armed yesterday with a sack of snacks, we hit the road to walk through more open houses.

Orange you glad I brought directions?

Would you believe that orange lead us straight to a house we loved and are ready to make an offer on? Well believe it! Our realtors are coming over this morning to put together the paper work and to take a look at our house to get it ready to put on the market.

The Story of Saturday

Once upon a time, I discovered a new salad obsession. Easy peasy avocado salad dressing.

Chapter 1: Smash 1/2 an avocado with fork.

Chapter 2: Stir in Salsa.

Step 1: Smash Avocado Step 2: Stir in Salsa

Chapter 3: Stir in salad fixings of choice.

Chapter 4: Make room in your personal produce section and finish getting ready to run off and hit up yet another open house.

Make Room

Chapter 5: Enjoy salad in car on the way and wonder who turned out the lights?

Lights Out

Chapter 6: Take your hood off because it’s not raining in the car.

Well why don’t you just make yourself at home Hissy?

Making Herself At Home

Hissy has in fact made herself at home, I happened upon her last night in the bathroom hanging out on the sink.

A little snake charming last night, a little charming pre-run snack this morning.

Why Do Dates Always Look Creepy?

Why do dates look so creepy when you cut into them? And then to top it all off – it coughs up this gigantic bug-like pit! This is a cruel joke of nature if you ask me. Here! Eat this thing that looks disgusting but tastes unbelievable! Try it – it’s good, I promise! Just don’t look at it.

Please Welcome Hissy Le Maxine

This morning we had an appointment to visit a prospective house. I had time for 45 minutes of yoga, a fast breakfast and shower before zipping out the door to meet up with Zak and our realtor in the city. After our walk through that lasted nearly an hour, Zak and I walked the streets in the surrounding neighborhood to get a feel for the area.

Did you know that house hunting makes you hungry? True story.

After a meeting this morning, more errands, taking Ava to her homeschool gym class, I decided we had not yet done enough running around so we hit up Wegmans for “just one thing”.

Usually I groan when I see Christmas stuff out at the stores before Halloween, but today I squealed!

Holiday Teas!

Celestial Seasonings Holiday Teas are back! They’re back everyone! They’re BACK!

I fell in love with these last year. More specifically, Candy Cane Lane and Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride.

Instead of working out this morning, I worked on my to-do list. I think I’m addicted to giving myself too much to do. I can’t seem to stop signing on for things. I’m always volunteering to help, offering to do something for someone, raising my hand when no one else does. I think I always do this because my brain always comes back to – Sure, why not! I’m a stay at home mom. What else have I got to do? Well dummy, you’ve actually got a ton of stuff do.

My body alarm was apparently set for 6:00 this morning, because that’s the exact minute my eyes popped open with no alarm to be heard.

I debated going to the gym first thing (Door #1) or waiting until the sun came up and going for a run outside (Door #2). After going to the gym on Monday and was reminded of how great it feels to get there early and get my work out in first thing, so I opted for what was behind Door #1.

It was my turn to be one of the parent assistants in Ava’s homeschooling class this week. Each week there are two parent assistants who work in the classroom on a rotating basis along side the teacher and teacher assistant. That’s four adults for 16 children. Overkill? That’s what I thought until I was actually working in the classroom!
