Some where in the span of the last half year – give or take a couple weeks – life went from sickly sweet and seemingly picture perfect to oh-so-insanely soap opera-ish that even Susan Lucci would have to change the channel because she can’t keep up.

Yes, once upon a time I used to watch All My Children.  So sue me.

When the Garmin Strikes Midnight

One more run with my borrowed Garmin 405 this morning before it turns back into a pumpkin. Well, maybe not a pumpkin exactly but they will charge my debit card $350 if I don’t bring it back today. I don’t know about you but that’s more than I want to spend on a pumpkin.

Oh Garmin stats, it’s been fun.

Tuesday Morning Garmin Run

A frosty 27 degrees this morning but with running tights, turtle neck, light jacket, gloves and a hat that I knit myself I was warmed up and comfortable by the first half mile.

A frosty start this morning.

Frosty Start

It could been the middle of a blizzard for all I cared, I was getting out there today come hell or high water to play with my new toy!

New Toy

With a GPS strapped to my wrist I didn’t give two hoots about my route and just ran. I typically stick to a handful of routes that I know the mileage of so I know how far I went.

Free at last! Thank Garmin 405 almighty I’m free at last!

High Hopes

I had high hopes today.

High hopes that the Garmin 405 would be available to borrow at my local running store from their electronic lending library.

Beat Up 405

Score! After reading Shari’s post yesterday on gadgets I had Garmin envy and hit up the cheapest way I know to get my hands on a Garmin (FREE), even if it’s only mine for a week.

I had high hopes for a dinner out at a restaurant near Zak’s office before a homeschooling gathering tonight. He eats lunch here frequently and has only had good things to say about their salads.

June One

For the first day of June, it is a little chilly! 47 degrees at 6:30 called for a long sleeved shirt and capri tights for my 5.88 mile morning run. When I got home the girls were still asleep, which allowed Zak and I to have some uninterrupted conversation before he was on his way to work.
