Good News Bad News

I ran today.  I made it 3.25 miles without a hint of knee pain.  And the final .9 miles home weren’t much to complain about either.

And this is good news! I have a race on Saturday. It’s a 5K, (3.1 miles) so now I’m sure I’ve got that distance covered.

But there’s bad news too.  You see, it’s a race where runners are chased through the woods by zombies.

(can’t see? click here. another video here.)

Yes, in honor of Zak’s 34th year of life, we are taking a road trip this weekend with some friends where we will all be running for our lives at the Run for Your Life Zombie 5K in Baltimore, MD.

Got zombies coming to your area?  Check it out!  And be sure to read the FAQ’s, they’re the best part.

So at least now I’m sure the left knee is gonna hold out for my attempt get across the finish line alive!

There will probably still be screaming though. Just a different kind of screaming.

(Special thanks to Jen for sending me the link right after that post about the RDA of macro nutrients for Zombies!)
