I made it!
4 hours and 50 minutes (go slowly was exactly right) and a sore left knee, but so SO relieved and happy!
And can I just say: Krispy Kreme donuts after 26.2 miles?
Best. Donut. I’ve. Ever. Eaten.
EVER!
I’ll write a real race recap tomorrow, but I’m here tonight to say that I am delighted with how it well went, sore knee or not. I can’t wait to sing the praises of Jeff Galloway’s run/walk approach to a marathon – it worked like a charm!
More tomorrow, I’m beat! Thanks to everyone for your well wishes for today, can’t stop smiling!
Great job!
Take care of that knee and the rest of your body!
I was thinking about you and wondering how you did. GOOD FOR YOU! So proud to call you my Best Friend!
YAY!!!!! Congratulations!!!! I’m glad your knee held up and you were able to do it. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
Oh, and yeah, there is NOTHING like Krispy Kreme donuts. Glad I don’t have any local to me.
NIIIIIICE!
I don’t know how you do it!
I had dreams of marathons until I ran a 5k.
Ima woss!
way to go Mama!
get some rest and can’t wait to hear all about it!
