Perspire to Inspire

Let’s not call her the picky one.

My Muse

No, let’s call her my muse.  A source of inspiration.  A fruit and vegetable avoiding force to be reckoned with.

See, I can make a fruit smoothie for Ava – no problem.

Frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, banana, a couple glugs of almond milk.  Sounds good, right?

For Ava, yes.

For Maxine?

No Dice

Thanks to a bit of experimentation, I have come to discover that Maxine will eat that exact same fruit smoothie when it’s poured into a mold,

and frozen into a popsicle.

You betcha.

Ava too – even if she can’t stop wiggling that loose tooth with her tongue long enough to eat dessert for breakfast.

Oh alright.

Cute Face

But only because you inspire me so.

Yay! BW will drink the smoothies – thank goodness. But, I still love to make the popsicles now that it is so hot outside. I use yogurt and add puree, so I will have to try the smoothie idea! Thanks!

I LOVE it when mine thinks he is getting away with something and I have tricked him into ingesting fruit or veggies! Have you tried making smoothies really thin for Maxine? Mine won’t drink them if they are thick. I think it’s because he knows that it has a lot of fruit, but if it’s thin (especially if it also has straw), he’ll drink it. I just give him a bigger glass!

    • Hi Kelley – you know, I hadn’t considered making them thinner for Maxine, that’s intriguing. She’ll drink orange juice (without pulp) – so you could be on to something! I’m definitely going to keep this in mind the next time I get the blender out. Thanks!
