(Yeah, right.)
From the NY Times yesterday, Is Sugar Toxic?
I don’t know, but I do know that as former sugar addict, (who still indulges from time to time – and will as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow indulge again) I cannot deny that I truly feel my best when I’m consuming little to no sugar. I guess that’s all the evidence I need. Articles like this are just further motivation to limit sugar in all its various forms whenever I can.
Sure, have a big dose of sugar when your energy is down, your body burns it up in 2 seconds, and then you crash even worse and end up eating more or feeling sick. What a load. It’s like the Activia commercials with them saying that yogurt contains “bifidus regularus”…..a term made up by the Activia marketing folks. check out this website:

I read that article too – wow. Where on earth did you come up with that ad??? it reminds me of how doctors used to prescribe smoking cigarettes to pregnant women, to keep the birth weight of the baby down. (probably the reason I came in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces!)
This is a good argument for doing your own research, educating yourself and not believing everything that you see in print, on the tube or the internet.
Alison…I finally found your blog. Very nice. I have to go back and read everything.
