May or May Not

December 15th, 2009 | Posted by Alison Spath in Late Night Craziness

We may or may not have shopped for produce at the little Wegmans in the Museum of Play today.

Fake Produce

She may or may not be more gentle with the fake produce than the paid store cashiers can be with the real stuff.

Play

This may or may not be the most ironic picture considering the girl eats practically NO vegetables. And has never eaten a banana in her entire life – except unknowingly in fruit smoothies.

We may or may not have broken the “Only 5 Items at a Time” shopping rule.

We may or may not have had a tea party by all ourselves.

Tea Party

A group lunch may or may not have followed the solo tea party.

Group Lunch

I may or may not have made Black Bean and Salsa Soup with Quinoa while I made Black Bean Pancakes for dinner last night.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

I may or may not have thought that I left my wallet at the gas station today.

I may or may not have driven 15 minutes to the gas station in the opposite direction of home before realizing my wallet was actually in the center console of the car.

I may or may not have my head screwed on properly.

It may or may not have been nearly 6 o’clock by the time we made it to the not-play Wegmans tonight for real produce that had to be paid for with real money.

Real Produce

I may or may not have scooped up this Annie’s Goddess Dressing that I had for the first time at a friend’s house last week.

Annie's Dressing

This dressing may or may not totally rock. I may or may not have devoured a huge salad with green leaf lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, cukes and hemp seeds with Goddess dressing for dinner tonight.

I may or may not have totally forgotten that I made Averie’s version of this dressing early this fall with cashews, lemon juice and my food processor.

We may or may not have been interrupted playing Trouble tonight.

Trouble Interrupted

There may or may not be an older child here that I completely failed to take any pictures of today.

I may or may not be eating a cane shaped peppermint flavored piece of high fructose corn syrup right now.

It may or may not have been a long day.

I can’t believe Pretend Wegmans is still at the museum because I used to go there with my siblings… like 15 years ago. Ugh, I know I’m not that old but that’s a long time.
Hope you don’t mind my reminiscing on here what with the chickadees and now this, it’s like reliving my childhood days!

What a fun day :) (minus the almost driving all the way to the gas station for said wallet). I love when the people at the food store throw your produce into the bag. Bruised fruit IS extra delicious. Yummy soup.

  • she kind of looks like trouble . . . ironic!?!?

Love the wallet/gas station part. I may or may not have brought my son 20 minutes away to hockey and then realized we left his hockey equip at home. Then, I may or may not have raced home, picked up the hockey bag only to get back to the rink and realized we left the hockey stick at home. I may or may not have spent $12 on a new stick just to get him on the ice and have 40 minutes of alone time in a freezing ice rink.

aww cute cute! looks so much fun! I am going to wegmans today… is it sad that I get super excited to food shopping at wegmans? perhaps. but oh well. haha

Do you want to toss one of those candy canes over here, please? All I have is a natural one from Pure Fun, which, while it does taste great, is a little lacking in bad-for-you things that I need right now. It may or may not have been an absolutely craptastic morning with my 5-year-old resulting in him being 40 minutes late for school. Sigh. Maybe you should send three candy canes instead.

Very cool stuff in that children’s museum. We’re not quite so culturally/socially/developmentally/whatever broad here and just have a rinky dink local history museum. I would love to have museums and aquariums and other fun things for the kiddies.

  • Thanks for the shout out hon! And I went grocery shopping in Aruba and saw Goddess Dressing! I am postng about it later today…too funny!

Love the looks of the black bean & quinoa action (possibly even more drool worthy this time than last week!) if that’s possible :)

I love how you dont use plastic baggies for each and every single produce item. Nor do it. I just wash it well when I get home. Or peel it. And save the cellophane. Way to go Mama Eco Weed :)

Oh Alison, your wallet “loss” cracked me up! That’s TOTALLY something I would do. Especially when life gets too hectic.

Thanks for the grins today! :) Hope you get a chance to relax soon! Not much longer and you’ll be totally in the new house! Then you can take your time unpacking and feeling organized!
