November 28th, 2009 | Posted by Alison Spath in Morning Craziness

I have declared this Saturday
To be a day filled with treats!
Let’s get started with breakfast
and some yummy morning eats.

Enjoyed first thing
came Treat #1!
Fruit Cereal in peace
Well son of a gun!

Saturday Fruit Cereal

A diced sweet banana and a peeled D’Anjour pear
Tossed in ground flax seed with such ease and such care
Topped with a tablespoon of shriveled grapes and pumpkin seeds
Add a half cup of unsweetened almond milk, that’s what this needs!

Topped with Almond Milk

Post breakfast I was off
on a solo shopping trip
Treat #2 would be from Starbucks
for a hot beverage drip

Starbucks Treat

Treat Three stemmed from
Regular coffee and half and half
A great caffeine buzz
Oh like a fool I did laugh!

Tall Regular with Half and Half

It’s amazing at how quickly
I move through the store
At Wegmans by myself?
Call this Treat #4!

Treat #5 began
At the library, you see
To take time browsing books
For them and for me.

Leisurely Library Trip

Treat Number Six
Is a book on reserve
Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen
Raw goodness will be served!

How DO you come up with this stuff???

I stayed home for Black Friday… sounds more like a day of mourning than shopping but TODAY I will treat myself to Sprouts and Bed Bath & Beyond!!! And maybe a cup of drip like you!!

    Have a wonderful Saturday!!

You spit some dope rhymes, my sister from another mister! You just decided that a stop at Starbucks is a must this morning. They should pay you for the product placement.

I too was thinking of breaking my coffee ban…I really don’t need it but peppermint mocha sounds LOVELY
Thanks for the treats! I enjoyed each and every one!

We are treating ourselves to a trip to Lowe’s for house fix up things.

That’s cool your library has cookbooks (or uncookbooks ;)) I wonder if mine does?? I need to check that out.

  • Seeds & raisins, coffee (and a caffeine buzz..what’s that, I’m immune LOL), and Ani’s book (have it, like it alot!)….great Saturday for you!!

Could you be any more creative?!! You have me writhing with jealousy over here. 😀

  • teresa says:

    you ARE, indeed, a writer.

  • Jennifer says:

Wow….how long did it take you to write that??? That was great! :)

I could never go to Starbuck’s this time of the year without getting the peppermint mocha. :) It’s wonderful! I had two this past week but at least got them with nonfat milk. (haha)

I think that’s a great idea moving the day after Christmas. You’ll probably be ready to take down the decorations by then. You’ll be so excited, too. :)

Your tree looks really nice, too. I love that picture of dinner with it in the background.
