Waiting For Pop Off

Going through the bin of winter stuff. This is what I call a rocking Monday night.

Rocking Monday Night

Oh big pink mittens how I’ve (not really) missed you. It won’t be much longer now until I’m wiping my runny winter running nose on you.

Big Pink Mittens

Geez I hope I washed those before I put them away for the season. They weren’t crunchy so I’ll take that as a good sign.

What else do we do around here for fun on Monday night? Why we wait for the corn to pop.

Waiting For Pop Off

And while we wait, we feed the children a little butter just to watch them come flying across the room and dive for the spoon. It’s like feeding the fish in the pond, they’re so cute you can’t help it.

OK, time to stop feeding the Koi, here we go!

Here It Comes

Whoops it’s getting a little hot in here…

Hot In Here

Air popped corn – Monday night socks have officially been rocked off. And replaced with pink stockings.

Popped Corn

We put the offer in on our probable new house tonight! I fully expect them to counter, at which point I will offer them a little pat of butter on a spoon and it will surely be an offer they’ll be unable to resist.

My sister used to stand at the refrigerator and eat sticks of butter when she was a mere child. Mother had to start hiding the butter from her. True fact. And she grew up to be a thin person. Not diet related, of course.

  • how exciting! best of luck with the house!

  • I’m so excited for you! I keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well! :) And yes, if they counter, counter back with some butter. Who can resist? ๐Ÿ˜‰

One of my former coworkers was actually fed butter by the stick as a child… She cringes when you just mention the word butter… I see what you are up to! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    and let the games begin!

GAH. such are the times pepto bismol were made for!

pats of butter were quite the motivators for the Teen too…matter of fact anytime I had it out…he was there trying to get a finger in it!

was quite the problem for a while.

    huh? what’s that?
    oh, okay Mas….No, I’m not blogging…I’m uh…stretching!

  • POPCORN!! I’ve missed you and your blog and your lovely lil kidettes. Gorge.
Catching up with everything is so overwhelming when you go out of town! But I’m glad to have your hilariousness (word?) back in my life. Happy sigh.

  • LOVE the mittens!

And the popcorn popper…it’s literally been 20 yrs since I have seen one like that. I dont eat popcorn except maybe once a decade but I should get back to it I think!

To answer your Blendtec vs. Vita question on my post…I was trying to use the Blendtec more but I just dont like it. I should have started with the Vita but didnt. Small appliance extra dishes indeed sucked bigtime. And I dont have a food proc or a stand mixer so it’s Vita or bust from here on out :)

I am capable of eating a ridiculous amount of popcorn. And don’t worry too much about feeding the girls butter… My mom and dad used to make us butter sandwiches (at our request) and I’m still alive! ๐Ÿ˜€
