Get the Funk Out

I awoke this morning feeling like I spent yesterday in a haze. I’m not sure what’s up but I am bound and determined to bust out of it today. Maybe because I hadn’t had green juice or run since Saturday? Not enough fresh fruit yesterday? Cooped up inside an air conditioned house and no sun on my skin? Well you can bet your hiney I’m checking all those things off my list today come hell or high water.

First things first, a perfectly ripe, sweet, juicy, organic white peach. Phew that’s a lot of adjectives for one innocent, delicious, little peach. Oh look, more adjectives.

White Peach

Yes, more kiwi. No, no more adjectives.

My dad is off this week and came out join me on my morning run. We slugged out about 5 miles through air as thick as pea soup. We took it slow and added our own perspiration to the moisture in the air. I think the relative humidity is now 101% thanks to our run. You’re welcome my fellow suburbanites.

Home and sweaty, it was time to scratch item #3 off the list with green fervency.

Even More Green Lemonade

Today’s glass of green goodness was my classic romaine, cucumber, apple, lemon and ginger concoction.

Green lemonade. If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen’em all. Well look again because green juice rocks my world. I went two days without it and I can totally tell. Welcome back lettuce in liquid form. Welcome back.

Once I came back down from my post run green juice high, I enjoyed a banana in smashed fork almond butter drizzle form.

Brown and Yellow Smush

You know it’s Tuesday when you’ve got a plate full of brown and yellow glop in front of you and you’re excited about it.

I guess I don’t seem very excited about it with out any exclamation marks though, huh? Let me try again.
