The Early Bird Stays Home with the Children

August 1st, 2009 | Posted by Alison in Fitness

My morning run got pushed back to HOT o’clock due to Zak working late and these little ones who insist on calling me mom being up early.

So instead of getting my jog on, I got my juice on.

Do Not Disturb. Juicing In Progress.

Behold the Tower of Juice.

When the man finally rose from his slumber I got a move on headed out for what was to be a totally hot run. 5.89 in 48 minutes. It’s a good thing I don’t have testicles because I definitely would have sweated them off today.

Watermania ensued the moment I walked through the door.

Then I was in pinetopia about an hour later.

Fresh Pineapple

Lunch looked like something I’ve eaten before.

Saturday Lunch

Homemade guac on toasted Ezekiel bread with steamed broccoli and cauliflower topped with parm. Enjoyed with two beauties that showed up just in time for lunch.

I ran some errands with the chickas while the chico worked from home. We hit up the new Target that just opened down the road from us (WHOOP!) and before heading home drove around long enough to get Maxine to fall asleep. Those are my favorite kind of rides.

I tore into some dried apples back home.

And enjoyed what is suppose to look like Date and Almond Butter Ecstasy but I think Date and Almond Butter Zombie might be more accurate. You decide.

And now we’re off to go camping. In the city. I’m not kidding.

A friend of Ava’s is having a little camp out birthday party so we’re throwing the tent, pillows and sleeping bags in the car and are off for the evening of “roughing it” in the city until tomorrow morning. Ava is uber excited and mama thinks she’s gonna have to stop and get a bottle of wine for tonight. All the mama’s are going to need it.
